Book notes

I always loved to read. I remember sitting for hours in my local library in my home town of Belper, England. I would find a comfy seat, snuggle under a blanket and lose myself in a great book. Books shaped my life.  The wonderful Miss Honey (my teaching inspiration), the stories of Paddington Bear by the late Michael Bond, the Tales of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter (Beatrix is my youngest daughter's name) and adventures of The Famous Five by Enid Blyton took me from my reality into a world of limitless opportunity. I am fortunate to continue to get to read to young children each day both in my class with my own children at home.

In the wonderful worlds of C.S. Lewis (British writer and lay theologian):

“You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.”

Here are some of my favourites (click on each of the images for reading notes)
